Lewis Hamilton Michael Schumacher Ayrton Senna

Lewis Hamilton has said that he would have loved to race against Michael Schumacher this season, and that last year he was thinking he might just get the chance. However it was not to be, with Schumacher retiring at the end of the 2006 season after a long 15 year career, in which he stood on the top step of the podium 91 times.

In a recent interview Hamilton said, "When I heard that he was retiring, I said: 'Damn, please Michael keep going for another season and we'll have some great races against each other'

"I met him last year before the Turkish Grand Prix and I was impressed because I'd heard that he was arrogant and not very nice but he took the time to talk to me and I was really honoured.
"

Hamilton, the curent Formula One Drivers Championship points leader said he would also have loved to race against the legendary Ayrton Senna.

"They are men and drivers who inspire a lot of respect from me," added the Briton.

Lewis Hamilton Signed Overalls on Ebay



It's officially Lewismania time.


A pair of signed overalls as worn by Lewis Hamilton have turned up on Ebay after being sold at auction in Monaco, after being donated to the Ayrton Senna Foundation by Lewis and his father.


Starting bid is $25,000 and after his Kart sold a couple of weeks ago for $80,000 plus, the sky is the limit.

Lewis Hamilton gets his own parking spot

Lewis Hamilton grew up in a town called Stevenage a town of 80,000 people in Hertfordshire, England.

As you can imagine, Lewis Hamilton fever has hit this town in a huge way, with all manner of stunts and events to attract press attention.

The local ADSA Supermarket has come up with a novel plan to hit the headlines, and they have. Lewis Hamilton now has a special dedicated parking space in pole position outside their supermarket. It was unveiled on the saturday of the British Grand Prix, and of course Lewis Hamilton was unable to attend.

Lewis Hamilton all the way in British Grand Prix

This last weekend saw the annual British Formula One Grand Prix held at Silverstone. With huge interest from the British public in Lewis Hamilton, and his amazing string of podium finishes in his rookie year in F1, interest has never been higher.

There were huge demands placed on Lewis Hamilton for this race, being his home grand prix, and the huge English crowd would not be happy with anything less than another Lewis Hamilton victory.

Lewis Hamilton did not disappoint the huge crowd on hand for the saturday Formula One qualifying sessions, with Lewis Hamilton taking pole position. After saturdays performance, the English media went crazy, with all number of Lewis Hamilton headlines.

On race day however the fairy tale ending was not to be. Lewis Hamilton finished a distant third, some 40 seconds behind race winner Raikkonen, however Lewis Hamilton did extend his consecutive podium filling streak to 9, an amazing feat for a rookie, and still leads the Formula One World Championship by 12 points over his teammate Fernando Alonso.

Lewis Hamilton Wins 2nd Race in the USA

After Lewis Hamilton won his first race in Canada in round 7 of the 2007 F1 World Championship, most people thought that would be it for a while, after all how could someone so young and inexperienced to Formula One ever win regularly in their first season.

Those people had to eat their words the very next week, as in a perfect repeat of his first win, Lewis Hamilton did it again the very next week at Indianapolis in the US Formula One Grand Prix, again taking pole position and leading the race the whole way through.

Suddenly after this, almost astonishing win, Lewis Hamilton is being compared to that other amazing sportsman, Tiger Woods, and in England he is being hailed as the "New Beckham", just as David Beckham leaves England to start a new life in Los Angeles, with his wife Victoria Beckham, better known as Posh Spice of the Spice Girls.

With this Formula One Rookie on fire, it's difficult to predict what is next for the superstar that is Lewis Hamilton.

Lewis Hamilton Wins First F1 Race in Canada

Lewis Hamilton burst onto the Formula One Scene in 2007, and as of the Canadian Grand Prix, had finished every round of the championship on the podium, culminating in a win at the 2007 Canadian Grand Prix.

The victory in Canada was a spectacular one, with Lewis Hamilton staking his claim early on by taking pole position in the new Formula One 3 round qualifying sessions.

Lewis Hamilton then made a fantastic start, and was never headed again during the F1 Grand Prix of Canada, taking his first ever Formula One win, in only his 7th F1 Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton is not only a start of the future, but he is an overnight superstar of today.
